Campbell’s Labels for Education

Print & Share

www.labelsforeducation.com

Summary: Reflective activities for grades K-3 that help promote healthy eating activity patterns.

Details: These lessons meet national education standards for educators teaching K-3. The lessons include a nutrition and a fitness component. The fitness portion combines activity with reflection on what and why the students performed the activity. As a result, the point of the activity along with actually doing the activity is reinforced either in written or spoken form. The nutrition portion focuses on creative ways to identify a healthy breakfast; students evaluate their own breakfast for completeness, and use their creativity (through writing poems or stories) to demonstrate what they have learned. Though the Campbell’s label is on each sheet, Campbell’s foods are not emphasized.
